Heather Jeal

Heather is the managing editor for goingcoastalmagazine.com, as well as the writer of most of the articles in differing areas. She started writing for the Reporter Newspaper in Sechelt covering events, and eventually wrote a regular column listing upcoming events in Gibsons and all up the Sunshine Coast. Heather has lived in Gibsons, Roberts Creek and Halfmoon Bay so far, and does not plan on ever leaving the coast. She cares so much about the area that she has been a part of many volunteer organizations related to the arts, such as: the Sunshine Coast Arts Council, the Gibsons Public Art Gallery, the Driftwood Players, the Coast String Fiddlers, and many more. Heather did run for town council at one point, but as it seemed everyone else in Gibsons did too, she is waiting for an opportunity to really help the Sunshine Coast later on.

Right now Heather Jeal has been working at juggling grandkids while still maintaining her web of information. She is still the "go-to" person for the best contacts on the Sunshine Coast, as well as a very skilled woman at wine & cheese receptions. From time to tme you can see her on Coast Cable 11 in reruns as she interviews politicians and local celebrities.
